Fan Leitao, 35, has been living in Hui Ling Village, Quyang, a small village deep in the Taihang Mountains, since childhood. His father, Ma, has been making clay figures for 30 to 40 years, and has a passion for clay sculpture that borders on the enigmatic. In his father's influence and heavy pottery, Ma Ruote successively in Quyang Zhou carving school and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts to study sculpture, after graduation to return to the countryside, the son inherited his father's work to play with the clay. Leitao is a folk arts and crafts artist and a member of the China Sculpture Professional Committee. Fan Lei Tao was born in Hebei Quyang County, Lingshan Township, Hui Ling Village, living in the mountain village since childhood, native farmers. He graduated from Quyang County School of Sculpture Art, and later went to Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts for further study, and returned to his hometown after graduation is now working in Quyang Hanbo sculpture.
